Snow Waves on the Isle of Wight by Jason Swain. A series of photos from the snow episode that took place on the Isle of Wight in early March 2013. The south of the Island got a good covering of snow (up to 10cm) but blown by ferocious north-easterly winds, there were some amazing snow-drifts to be found on the south coast of the island around the chale and blackgang areas. On the first day i could get out i took some photos of the drifts as found art, the classic empty waves of mind surfing. On day two i returned with my son Williams toy surfer and had some fun helping him catch some imaginary rides. Shot using the Sigma 12-24mm wide angle lens on the canon 6d camera body. I hope you enjoy seeing the snow waves as much as i enjoyed finding and shooting them!
