First day out with the camera in 2012 and it was a trip to my old stomping ground of Freshwater Bay to catch some winter waves. Bit of a paddle out if you fancied a surf on this particular day at Freshwater Bay! Not surprisingly there were no takers with the strong onshore winds and massive close-out sets that were pounding the coast that day. Here we have a vertical panorama (vertorama) made up from two shots with the Canon 24-70L lens on the 7d body. One exposure for the bright sky and a slighter longer one for the darker foreground, put together with a graduated mask in photoshop.
